Beste currently works as a Visual Merchandising Executive at Dries Van Noten, one of the pioneering designers of the Antwerp Six. With a BFA in Photography and Visual Communication from NYU Tisch and an MA in Fashion Studies from Parsons – The New School, where her thesis explored Loewe’s cultural and emotional branding during Jonathan Anderson’s creative tenure, Beste is particularly drawn to how fashion transcends disciplines and cultural hierarchies through trickle-up and trickle-down effects. From styling and film to creative retail activations, she is fascinated by fashion as a spectacle of identity, desire, and expression, where “vanity of vanities” takes on new meanings. Combining fashion theory with professional experience at RIMOWA, Balenciaga, Maison Margiela, and Dries Van Noten, Beste aspires to contribute to the fashion spectacle at the intersection of emotion, craftsmanship, and visual storytelling, exploring the dialogue between the tangible and intangible. Looking ahead, she plans to undertake an independent research project on Hussein Chalayan, further exploring the relationship between fashion, technology, and human emotion.
